Big and Chunky

I just recently bought a big, chunky necklace and have to say it was one of my top buys. It makes a plain tank top and jeans a whole new outfit. There are so many out there too! Brand Radar: Wintercheck Factory

Innovative and stylish Wintercheck Factory is a brand that takes the simple things and makes them better. Their products are intuitive to what a customer would need in a product, hence a scarf with pockets. Currently their site is pretty limited, a lot of it focuses on furniture but they are a fairly new brand, so stay on the radar because I'm sure they will continue to come out with some great stuff.

Miu Miu type prints are everywhere, from Nasty Gal to Zara. I love how childlike the print is and how the construction is contrasted by adult shapes and cutouts. Now if only I could afford a pair of those lovely Miu Miu sparrow platforms, and even if I could afford a pair that I could find one. I can however afford the Zara ($39) and Nasty Gal ($58) cat print alternatives. Paired with some wooden platforms and some summery socks, you have a girlish yet sophisticated combination.

5 Things for the Springs

Summer is only complete with several trips to Barton Springs or whatever your local swimming hole may be. So assuming these trips will be taking place it seems only logical to make a list of things needed for the swimming visits. While the list does not include necessities such as a towel, sun block and bottle of water it does include all that is needed to look good under the sun.

Everyone has their own taste when it comes to a bathing suits but when it comes to taking a dive into a cool pool a one piece is a definite help to keep from flashing viewers (something that always seems to happen to me). Plus with the help of American Apparel there are some seriously cute one pieces going on.

It may be tempting to take those nice expensive glasses and show them off at the springs but be mindful, we all know the pain of losing/ breaking expensive things. Urban Outfitters always has a good selection of cute and affordable eye wear.

Big floppy hat pretty much speaks for itself. This one here is from Forever 21.

Some slip on sandals are just much more convenient then dealing with the straps that come along with so many other sandals, especially when all you want is to get into some water. These are Urban Outfitters Ecote Twist Sandal, they come in several other colors as well.

And for all those other necessities a tote is needed. Found this bag on Etsy by seller Trulysanctuary who has several other great bags and t-shirts.

What's Up Etsy

With the amount of things on Etsy I do believe I could get lost on there for hours, and why not? Etsy allows for a straight connection of maker to buyer and gives smaller designers and artist a chance to display their work to the world. So here are a few things I found on Etsy today...

Designer Jennifer Lilly has several dresses similar to this found on Etsy, they all have a vintage look and feminine feel. She provides great descriptions of her clothing as well, which is great when buying clothes online can be tricky.

I have a serious belt crush, I believe that just about every outfit looks a hint better with a belt and this is a belt I would use in many outfit situations. Muse Belts has several unique, fine leather belts found on Etsy.

Etsy allows room for great vintage pieces as well and thank goodness because this Chimayo Purse is quite a find. Similar vintage finds can be found by searching the seller, Some like vintage.

A big stone is a great addition to the jewelry box, I have one that I wear just about everyday. These big colorful stones are the product of seller, bitapourtavoosi, who has several other great jewelry pieces.

One last note, all the things I posted here are very well priced, nothing over $50, gotta love Etsy.
